I'm [Actually] Feeling Gooooood

I will say, I never anticipated feeling this relaxed about writing my essay - ha!
It wasn't that easy getting back into the swing of things this morning, what with the knowledge that I only had until 11.45 before I needed to get to a midday lecture on Sex and Virtue in Pamela (who'd have thought it could be such a raunchy novel?) Regardless, I increased my word count by about 100 before then.
In my lecture, I came to realise I was definitely missing my former tutor's style of delivery when it came to reading out quotes from our source texts. She is currently on extended sick leave following surgery (for I know not what), but I always thought she gave personality to the things she read out - that's not to say her replacement isn't entertaining, but....it's the little things.
Ticked another campus cafe off of my list of places to eat on campus when I had lunch in Portland Square Cafe (Chicken Salad sammich - mmmm) before heading to my tutorial for Critical Theory. I already knew my plans for the module's final portfolio were messy, but it quickly became apparent to me just how messy. Not to mention the fact that I appeared to have accrued enough ideas for an essay the size of the one I am currently working on i.e. too many. Having discussed how best to strip back the excess, I left feeling that little bit more confident (something I can only add to this weekend when I refine my plans).
And so the rest of my afternoon/evening was spent adding to my word count until I had around 1200 by 6.30pm, at which point it was time for tacos! A little messier with the addition of some beans but I've come to learn that all Mexican food is messy to some degree.
By some miracle, upon my return to my essay, I managed to churn out another 100 words bringing my total to almost 1300, which would explain my relaxed state somewhat. Breaking Bad, on the other hand, is all tension and uncertainty, and something I will be returning to momentarily.
Until tomorrow - when I return from the INK magazine launch party at Bread and Roses - and hopefully have another 500 or so words under my belt.
