I claim this day in the name of VICTORY!!

It has truly been a torturous, painful, mind-wracking process these last three weeks, planning, composing, forcing myself to compose, then editing, proof-reading and prepping my essays into the presentable shape they are now in. But after all this time, it has finally been done. They are gone into the capable hands of my tutors (at least by 12 and 3pm tomorrow respectively) and I am left feeling....brain-dead, relieved (just a little at the moment, the rest will sink in in the morning), exhausted, confused, etc. but the important thing - it's done!
I can finally get started on that list of things I planned which is stuck to my bedroom wall.
Pretty much all of the books I used
Just to give you an idea of how tough today was, I didn't get started on the editing until nearly 11am, pushed through til half 1 by which point I needed food, so had some Marmite toast (such nostalgia smelling the pot - my mouth is watering just thinking of it) and 1/2 can of Minestrone soup. Second push was paused by my sister phoning for a chat which took up 40 minutes, and then later foiled by the dull aches of my 'time of the month'. Managed to push through that and get the editing done before attaching the cover sheets and bibliographies. By then it was about 6pm so I decided to get food and finish proof-reading afterward. 'Food' consisted of a mix of leftover Quorn chili con carne and chicken/tuna stirfry, with homemade 'guacamole-salsa', AND as a treat for [almost] finishing my essays (and first year), I made an Apple Charlotte (Google it if you don't know).
Eating some of that with Cookie Dough ice cream gave me the boost I needed and I was done by 9pm, in time for a mug of tea which I have yet to drink. And all the while one of my flatmates was in the kitchen doing a similar thing - writing an essay (poor girl).
These three weeks have passed in a flash, which I am equal parts happy and sad about (for obvious reasons). Another three and I'll be home again! Jeez!
I hope they're fun though :)
