I thought I would use this opportunity to fill in yesterday's blank. I would've written except I got preoccupied with playing card games with my flatmate and her friends in our kitchen. This was after the finale of Breaking Bad (OMG!!! I shall not reveal spoilers but damn, that ending!), and that was after finishing up on 2300 words for my sensibility essay. Which was also preceded by my two seminars which were good and bad respectively.
The morning Critical Theory seminar was woefully underpopulated, and Mandy had to deliver a talk on Post-colonialism to a class of 5. This, however, was good, given the level of engagement I managed to pull off, and I felt enriched by the experience, somehow - which is more than can be said for the second seminar.
Pamela was fast becoming an old topic for us all as, despite a decent class turn-out, hardly anyone had anything to say in response to any question put to us on Pamela 'as a political novel' (which I had, and still have, no opinion on).
Which leaves me with today, the first day in the week in which I could feasibly have worked from start to finish (aside from food and general mental breaks). But I am proud to say that I have completed my first essay (pending editing) at 2916 words (84 shy of the stated word count but within the +/- 10%). Now, I can indulge in some half price Ben and Jerrys Cookie Dough ice cream, a mug of tea, and some Vampire Diaries.
See you tomorrow!
