Brain Tumour Research Campus Colour Dash

I am genuinely quite tired having consumed an entire bottle of red wine with my flatmates' Easter Dinner (which by the way was delightful and delicious!)
But food aside (as much as I love it) the Colour Dash today was as to be expected: colourful! There were approximately 200 people present and we were split by letter into 14 groups up to M. These were set off to run the one-mile cross-campus course one after another. In the meantime, everyone else was throwing cups of powder paint over themselves and each other until the area just above the SU entrance was covered in shades of red, green, blue and orange! Some people even rolled on the ground to get extra colour! As I was group L, I was the penultimate team but it came around pretty quick so I was running with about 5-6 other people, getting a little tired out in places but it was a simple course past Portland Mews, then Rolle, Babbage and finally up past Roland Levinsky and the steps back to the SU, being dowsed with paint at intervals. My greatest coverage came just after the group shot at the end when a large bomb of red hit me on the shoulder! (Here's me in the aftermath).
But damn, so worth the £10 and the small fundraising goal. I was reading poetry after I showered (the first minute or two in the shower with the water coming off me completely red!) before going to the kitchen for socialising and eventually food and drunken card games!
Back to my last week of classes this month tomorrow. Wish me luck!
