Ain't Nothin' But a Head Cold

I must apologise for being absent since Thursday, but I will do my best to make amends. Friday was uneventful so I shall skip that. Saturday was the first workshop for the INK submissions, and as few people on the team were present, it was up to me to sift through about 30 poems and decide which ones should, or had the potential to be, published in the magazine. After that, I returned to my room with cake and coffee before getting down to reading another theory in my massive textbook, this time addressing the question of language and the fact that words essentially mean nothing (to put it plainly). This was taxing on my mind so I gave up eventually and watched some Breaking Bad.
Oh I forgot to mention, I got a cold that day so I was reading this heavy book with a heavy head (achy sinuses, drippy nose, you get the picture). I drank alot of tea, wore lots of layers, a scarf and a beanie hat with the heating on full to try and sweat it out. I think it worked somewhat though because I woke up feeling better-ish, enough to venture to Aldi for the weekly shop and then do my laundry while reading a rather racy 17th century short story called Fantomina.
Finished that in a couple of hours and somehow managed to polish off the previous day's [dreadful] theory article, leaving me free (or so I thought) to enjoy a night on Skype.....until the stupid WiFi in halls meant the connection kept cutting out so had to rely on a phone call.
But that relates to the wonder which I shall soon be experiencing at the end of this month which is skiing in Italy! It's going to be incredible! That is if I can survive the next 3 weeks of theory and prostitutes!
