Contrary to my previous fears, today wasn't as tough as I imagined it would be. PPL volunteering was a short but mixed bag of reshelving books, moving chairs, learning to make ground coffee, and hunting out slavery books (which aren't always where you expect them to be O.o). I thought I'd be heading back around 12 to do laundry, but oh no - the need for change to do said laundry took me to the change machine in the campus library and from there to the ground-floor shelves of african american history. As so many people, in my class alone, seem intent on doing the slavery question for their essay, the supply of books on the topic was sadly depleted so I ended up spending 3 hours analysing what I could until I remembered I was starving myself ahaha oh dear.
One bowl of Thai Green Curry and noodles later, I was ready with Norton Anthology, notebook, colouring book and pencils in hand to occupy myself while two machines of my laundry went round and round. The drier decided to leave my laundry only half-tumbled, so I had to improvise with three radiator racks, but then what is student life without a little improv from time to time?
To wrap my evening up, I remembered I needed to start on my packing list for next Friday (Going-Home Day!), before tea, chocolate HobNobs, and Vampire Diaries.
I'm off to do a little more colouring before bed
